Social Media is the heart and soul of any business. Right from small startup’s to higher end business, each brand has a dedicated social media team to interact with the customers and thereby increasing the brand value.

Starcount, a social playlist, complied data across various social media networks (such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube etc.) and provided the result for top 10 brands for this year.

  1. Samsung Mobile – 14 million fans in Facebook, 4 million followers in Twitter, 86 million views in YouTube
  2. Disney – 2 million fans in Facebook, 1 million fans on Chinese network Sina Weibo
  3. National Geographic – 160 million views in YouTube
  4. Nike – 50 million views in YouTube
  5. Google – 3 million fans in Facebook
  6. Coca-Cola – 15 million Facebook fans in 2013, 58 million views in YouTube
  7. Mtv – 10 million fans across Facebook, Twitter and Google+
  8. Facebook – 16 million fans in Facebook
  9. Instagram – 16 million followers in Twitter
  10. YouTube – 3 million fans in Google+
Brand defines value; an intangible and unique asset to a company. If it is not show cased in a right sense and doesn't meet the expectations of the users, the engagement of Brand with the real life drops. Ultimately, it results in a diminished usage of the product!
