11/12/13 – A fancy day which whole India anticipated for a
judgment for the homosexuals. A wide population of about 2.5 million Indian’s
dream shattered by Supreme Court’s verdict today.
According to IPC Section 377 “Whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature
with any man, woman or animal, shall be punished with 1[imprisonment for life],
or with imprisonment of either description for term which may extend to ten
years, and shall also be liable to fine”
This judgment was made in 2009 at Delhi High court. From
then, it’s been 4 long years and almost 15 petitions have been filed in Supreme
Court challenging Section 377.
On his last day as SC judge, Justice Singhvi made this even worser
by staying with the law “Gay sex is
illegal” which is a huge disappointment for those expected a turn
around and for those who supported these people.
Who are we to judge the morality of people through emotions?
Being gay doesn't mean the person is a bad human being. It’s up to the
individual; they stand by their own decision. We cannot oppose or influence
them. Even W.H.O in early 1990’s concluded that “Homosexuality is a normal positive human behavior”.
No one is perfect in this world. If someone wants to live
his/her life, please leave them. Let them in peace. Let them enjoy in which
they are comfortable to rather than pushing in to a life in which they are not interested.
Give them the space which they demands!
We’re living in a very complicated country where
the Rapist bastards can walk free but two consenting adults in love are termed
as criminals. If they need to be jailed, the existing prisons won’t be suffice.
With all due respect, my dear brothers, sisters and transgenders,
I support your fight. “Live.. and let live”.
Is India Rising??????
